Milwaukee County Land Swap Approved for Ryan Business Park Development

The Milwaukee County Board approved a land swap, 4 years in the making, that Capstone arranged in a 3 way negotiation with the City of Oak Creek and the County including Supervisor for the District Steve Taylor.  The swap is an exchange of 27 acres of agricultural land, for which Capstone and its partner General Capital Group will convey almost 60 acres of nearby upland and prime wetlands.  A portion of the conveyed land will be made into a neighborhood park, to be funded and maintained by the City of Oak Creek.  Capstone will also provide an easement to extend the Oak Leaf Trail along the eastern edge of the Ryan Business Park, providing a valuable link for the trail system.   Once the City approves a TIF district for the Ryan Business Park, the swap will enable a doubling of the size and economic impact of the Ryan Business Park.
